Expedition Architect
Matt is a former US marine turned marine conservationist. He leverages his 30+ years of experience in the Marine Corps to ensure that Sea Collective’s expeditions are well-planned, safe, and executed with precision. Matt is responsible for conducting reconnaissance missions to potential project sites to facilitate data collection. In his free time, you can find him surfing, mountaineering, rock climbing, or drinking a cappuccino.

With a background that spans from marine ecology to the world of trees, Jared brings a unique perspective to conservation narratives. When he’s not thinking about mangroves, he is likely shaping surfboards.
